Presented for the first time in New York, Bloom by Paw Gissel brings together photographs developed through more than seven years of travel with La Cabra across coffee-growing regions in Africa, Central America, and South America.
What began as documentation of sourcing trips has become a broader photographic work about place, craft, community, and everyday life. Through landscapes, cities, farms, and local environments, Paw’s photographs trace the people and details that shape the world around coffee.
Hosted at Kalei Gallery, the exhibition presents photography from the book alongside sculptural works and video, offering visitors a look into the places, people, and cultures behind the work.
Sculptures are made in collaboration with @toseibo, a ceramic artist from Copenhagen.
The exhibition is open to all visitors, with free admission throughout the event. RSVP is recommended.
